Baby shower favors serve as lovely reminders of a wonderful time! If you choose them carefully, they can evoke memories of your shower long after the event gets over. And they'll associate your new baby with this little gift they've received at the celebration.

Should you give favors at baby showers in the first place? That depends on the tradition in your area. In some communities, they're not considered necessary at all. The thinking appears to be that the guests are there to shower the mommy-to-be and they don't expect to receive anything in return. Except a good time, of course!

Should you give something consumable like chocolates or something that'll last longer, like small figurines or any number of other such items? That depends on the preferences of the mom-to-be, the hostess as well as your sense of what the guests would prefer. Do some brainstorming to come up with a cute favor idea.
