Terrific do-it-yourself crafts for showers

It's a special feeling to hand-make crafts to present at baby showers! Whether you're making a baby shower corsage to pin on mom-to-be (see previous link for details) or making favors to give guests, doing it yourself adds that extra personal touch.

Here are a few ideas you can implement right away.

If you enjoy kitchen creations, try making chocolates. But don't make them in any common shape. Create them in various baby-related shapes. Make them look like little baby bottles, pacifiers, teddy bears, rattles, and so on. If you wish to use them as shower favors, just package them in small groups. Your guests will sure appreciate the effort and the warmth that goes into these little gift crafts!

Make small fragrant soaps, again shaped like various baby items like rattles, etc. It's not difficult to do and if you've done it once, it's a snap to make them in quantities you want. As an alternative, you could also purchase such soaps; you'll get them in a wide range of shapes. Also buy lovely, small gift boxes or bags to package these soaps in. This makes a wonderful shower favor -- and one that you crafted yourself.

Another idea is to purchase candies many colors, along with tulle and ribbons. Wrap a bunch of candies in tulle and tie each tulle bag with ribbons, finishing with an adorable bow. This is a simple way to create a personalized gift at baby showers.
