Exciting invitations get your shower off to a
wonderful start
Baby shower invitations are a key part of these celebrations for more than one
reason. On one level, of course, they inform everyone of the event and give
details. But on another level, they're instrumental in setting the tone for the
shower and making guests eagerly look forward to the party.
How far in advance of the shower should the invites go out? Mail them at least
three weeks before the event for local guests and about six to eight weeks in
advance for outstation guests. This is necessary because people have to make
travel arrangements early enough. Local guests may have to take care of
arrangements like babysitting.
If you have a theme for your baby shower, try to get invitations that tie into
it. You can easily get invites in all sorts of baby themes -- twin showers,
nursery rhymes, moon n stars, various fairy tales and much more. You can even
get creative and design your own unique invites -- in fact, that's the best way
to do it, if you're up to the task.
What should you write about in your invitation? See this page for a detailed
explanation on
wording for invitations. Don't miss out on the key points
covered there. It will help you ensure that your card is top class.
And here's a page with more information on
invitations for baby showers. Do
check it out before you finalize your invite.
